Wisconsin Voters Face Onslaught Of 'Negative, Negative, Negative' Ads()

Supporters listen to Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum at The Ravine in Bellevue, Wis., on March 24. Some voters in the state are complaining about a barrage of negative ads in advance of Tuesday's primary.

March 30, 2012 The superPAC supporting Rick Santorum has so far spent almost a half-million dollars on ads attacking front-runner Mitt Romney. And the superPAC supporting Romney has spent more than five times that amount — over $2.7 million — attacking Santorum.

2012 Political TV: Ads, Lies And Videotape()

An image from a superPAC ad attacking Newt Gingrich, whose campaign called on TV stations to pull the ad off the air.

February 24, 2012 Newt Gingrich says a pro-Mitt Romney superPAC should stop running a political ad that he claims tells lies about him. That raises the question of whether TV stations have any obligation — legal or ethical — to screen political ads for truthfulness.

February 23, 2012 A day after the superPAC supporting President Obama purchased air time in Michigan for a spot attacking Mitt Romney for his opposition to the auto industry bailout, the president's re-election campaign itself bought air time in the state to run a pre-Republican primary ad on the issue.

Ron Paul Ad Calls Rick Santorum 'Fake' Fiscal Conservative()

February 21, 2012 Rep. Ron Paul has Santorum in his sights, labeling him a "fake" fiscal conservative, using Sasquatch to humorously drive home the point, in a new ad running in Michigan. (The ad could have some appeal in the Pacific Northwest, too, when the Republican caucuses rolls around in Washington State, Bigfoot's purported home.)

Santorum Shows He'll Fire Back In Michigan Ad Wars()

Rick Santorum and Mitt Romney took the stage in a January presidential debate in Florida. They'll meet again Wednesday night in Arizona, which holds its primary on Feb. 28, the same day as the crucial Michigan contest.

February 19, 2012 Unlike the other GOP candidates who've emerged to take on Mitt Romney, Rick Santorum and the superPAC supporting him seem to have the resources to fight back. The battle is taking place on the airwaves in Michigan, which along with Arizona holds its primary Feb. 28.

Mich. TV Ad Battle Pt 2: Santorum Uses Humor To Parry Romney()

February 15, 2012 Rick Santorum's campaign has one of 2012's cleverest political ads. (Of course, we're only less than two months into the year.) The ad, intended to inoculate Santorum against the expected bombardment of negativity from Romney and his superPAC allies, shows a Romney lookalike with a mud-filled paint-gun stalking and shooting at a cardboard cutout of Santorum and missing every time.

The TV Battle in Mich.: Santorum's True Conservative Vs. Romney's Native Son()

February 14, 2012 Santorum makes the case that not only is he an authentic conservative but the most electable GOP candidate versus President Obama. Romney's ad, on the other hand, is more biographical, intended to reinforce his Michigan roots for voters. His ad, called "Growing Up," also aims at leveling Romney with average voters by showing him driving a car around what appears to be Detroit or its suburbs.
